GKI still forecasts economic stagnation for 2013
Despite the better-than-expected first-quarter GDP figures, the GKI Gazdaságkutató Zrt. did not change its forecast and continues to forecast economic stagnation for this year.
The economic researcher in its blog post sent to MTI wrote, that the expected stagnation for this year can mean a few tenths of a percent increase or even a few tenths of a percent decrease, depending on the performance of agriculture or the weather.
According to the Wednesday communication of the Central Statistical Office, the gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter increased by 0.7 percent compared to the fourth quarter of last year. (MTI)
