GfK Custom Research expands network by acquiring Interscope
GfK Custom Research North America acquired 100% ownership of US consulting company Interscope, one of the leading specialists in building brands at retail, on November 1, 2010.
Interscope complements GfK Custom Research North America’s expanding shopper marketing and insights practice. By combining GfK’s research expertise and analytical capabilities with Interscope’s consulting discipline and training expertise the company has created a truly integrated shopper marketing practice. This new combined approach of fusing shopper research, category management and shopper marketing into a common growth platform adds great value to clients and the marketplace.
Interscope, which was established in 2004, has a staff of 22 employees and will operate under the name GfK Interscope in future. The company achieved sales of USD 4.9 million in 2009. Its clients operate in the consumer packaged goods, general merchandise, apparel, technology and healthcare industries.
