The agriculture is determinant in economic growth
The role of agriculture is dominant in economic growth: the sector's total production expanded by 12.4 percent, its gross added value increased by 22 percent last year – Nagy István, the Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) told on Sunday in Debrecen, at the opening ceremony of the Farmer Expo international agricultural food fair and exhibition.
Nagy István, that as a result, the share of agriculture in the gross amount ogf the national economy grew to 4.8 percent.
According to the Minister of State – according to the government's intentions – the proportion of the livestock sector in the industry has improved: Currently the animal husbandry is the second in the sector in terms of proportion with 23 percent. The first is cereal production with 29 percent. (MTI)
