ZEW’s economic indicator shows improvement in the economic situation in Germany
In May, the economic sentiment index of the ZEW Economic Research Institute in Germany rose to its highest level in more than twenty years, compared to the previous month, indicating that economic agents expect a strong recovery for the rest of the year.
According to a survey published by ZEW (Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung) on Tuesday, the “ZEW indicator”, which measures the assessment of the economic outlook in Germany, rose to 13.4 points from the previous month, the highest since the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis. (MTI)
