Europe prepares for a wine price decrease after the rich harvest
On the bais of the experiences, this year’s grape harvest is excellent. The exact summary is not yet ready, but is expected that a minimum of three million hectoliters of wine will be delivered into cellars, compared to last year’s 1.8 million hectoliters.
In Hungary, the annual grape harvest is around half a million tonnes. The record years were 1990 and 2001, with more than 800 thousand tonnes of grapes yield, the negative record was in 2010, when only 295 thousand tonnes of grapes were harvested.
According to the report of COPA-COGECA, grape harvest is not only good in Hungary, as the EU’s grape harvest was 15.2 percent more in 2013 than in 2012. (by our colleague)
