The prices of cereal grains and vegetables increased the most
It did not come as a surprise that the production price level of agricultural products was 29 percent higher in December 2010 than a year earlier. Looking into it deeper we can see that vegetable product prices soared by 41.7 percent and the prices of livestock and products of animal origin grew by 9.9 percent – reported KSH. Last December the production price of cereals was 57.2 percent above the level of December 2009. Wheat’s procurement price was HUF 54,600 – it has been growing since April. Potato and vegetables prices were up 51.6 and 23.6 percent, respectively. The production price of fruits was 56.5 percent above the December 2009 level. Slaughter livestock prices were 9.1 percent higher in December 2010 than year earlier.
