The emphasis was on continuously informing the TÉSZ leaders, especially on domestic and EU legislative changes affecting operational programs, amendments to the support framework, and the sharing of payment and control experiences.

The primary aim of the annual work program was to provide professional and administrative support for the operation of the TÉSZ, taking into account that the producer members access the production-related professional background through the Hungarian Vegetable and Fruit Producers Association. The TÉSZ leaders – professionals from the commercial, production and administrative fields – actively participated in the events.

During the year, several professional days were organized jointly with the Ministry and the Hungarian State Treasury, focusing on the evaluation of the experiences of EU and domestic audits.

The events were of a consultative nature: based on the questions sent in advance, specific answers were given to the uncertainties of legal interpretation and payment, which significantly increased the practical utilization. A prominent topic was the handling of the modification of the operational program on the IACS interface, and the application of the changed electronic submission system. The presidency held direct consultations on several occasions with the authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Hungarian State Treasury on legal interpretation issues affecting the operation of the TÉSZ and on amendment proposals. Several of the proposals concerning the regulation of the operational program were incorporated into the legal framework. In the autumn, further consultations took place on the experiences of interim and payment applications, as well as the practical application of the IACS interface.

Two major international conferences on the subject of horticulture have also taken place

The Zsendüles horticultural conference included an international professional day examining the use of operational programmes and their administrative requirements in EU Member States. In addition, the ICOP international conference on producer organisations was held in Inárcs, where the mechanisms of current and future CAP regulation affecting horticulture were discussed.
