The expert jury has made its decision: Out of nearly 70 entries, five innovations have been nominated for the FRUIT LOGISTICA INNOVATION AWARD (FLIA) and FLIA Technology finals.
“Now it’s up to the trade audience,” explains Kai Mangelberger, Managing Director of FRUIT LOGISTICA. “All of the finalists will be on display at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2025 – and every trade visitor can help decide which innovation they think is the most convincing this year. I can already tell you this much: The decision will not be easy, the products and offers submitted are simply great.”
The FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award (FLIA) is the world’s most important award in the fresh produce trade. In addition to the FLIA for product innovations in the fresh fruit sector, the FLIA Technology will also be awarded for outstanding innovations in the field of machinery and technology since 2024.
The nominees for the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award 2025 are:
Sustainable: organically grown avocado. The “Organic Raingrown Avocado” comes from the rainforest of the Dutch company Eosta/Nature&More. It is the first organic avocado that is available all year round – and the first to be grown without artificial irrigation, using only rainwater. Due to increasing consumer demands and global water shortages, Eosta offers a sustainable solution for avocado cultivation.

Reliable: Strawberries in a sustainable supply chain. Under the name ALDINA, the discount chain ALDI DÉL sells a single strawberry variety in Germany – with a purchase guarantee for the growers for the entire season. The concept aims to strengthen German strawberry production. Thanks to transparent pricing and a purchase guarantee for a highly volatile, perishable product, there are economic benefits for everyone involved in the long term. For consumers, focusing on one variety comes with the promise of taste.
