French Lactalis closes two plants in Romania
French dairy producer Lactalis announced on Friday that by the end of August it will close its two plants in eastern Romania, which operate in Dealu Floreni and Vatra Dornei.
The French company is padlocking two plants of one of its Romanian subsidiaries, Dorna Lactate. Dorna Lactate employed 410 people at the end of 2018, according to the Romanian press. The French bought Dorna Lactate in 2008, which produces LaDorna brand dairy products. The Romanian subsidiary also had a plant in Kogalniceanu, Constanța County, which was closed in 2018. (MTI)
