The shops in the capital fell huge
But they still stayed in the lead in per capita spending. In December, spending fell in the capital’s stores by 15% and in 2020 as a whole by 10%.
The shop world has suffered from the pandemic waves with sizeable territorial differences. Győr, Bács, Zala, Csongrád lost more. Szabolcs, Jász-Nagykun and Nógrád, on the other hand, brought growth, the largest. In November and December, the cost of per capita spending between Budapest and Nógrád was 52,000 HUF.
