Foodora Hungary’s statement on the GVH decision
As a responsible company, we are constantly working to make our service accessible to everyone. Our popular discount promotions or subscription program continuously offer our customers affordable options, whether it is hot food or food.
foodora is committed to complying with applicable laws, therefore we comply with the provisions of the GVH decision, but we do not agree with its content.
The goal of our advertising campaigns is transparent and comprehensive information. The authority found that in some advertisements we displayed the details of the offer in an inappropriate font size, but we deny that we intentionally withheld the details of the offer. All information is available on our advertising platforms, as well as on our web interface and application from the start of the ordering process.
It is important to highlight that foodora Hungary modified its advertising materials after the start of the investigation in 2023 and has since incorporated many of the aspects raised during the investigation into its practice.
Foodora always intends to act in accordance with the legislator’s intention, therefore we consider the fine imposed for subsequent data modification to be excessive. During the 16-month, 13-round data provision, new questions arose, to which we provided new answers and clarified them.
