Consumer prices increased 3.7 percent in June over a year
In June 2009 the average consumer price increase of the month was 0.1 percent. Compared to June 2008 prices increased by 3.7 percent. In the first six months of this year, the average increase was 3.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous ye
The price of food decreased by 1.6 percent, compared to May 2009, mostly due to the 9.2 percent decrease of the season price food and the 2.9 percent decrease of cooking oil.
The price of vehicle fuel increased by the highest level; with 5.3 percent, but the price increase of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products and services were also higher than the average.
In the last twelve months, compared to June 2008, the price of food increased by 5.9 percent – more than the average.
The household energy became 8.0 percent more expensive excessing the average. Among durable goods (1.6 percent) and clothing articles (0.5 percent) price increase was below average.
