AI may also help you brush your teeth
Dental and oral hygiene mean quite a challenge in Europe and Hungary. According to the WHO, dental problems or other oral disorders can be detected with more than half of the population.
The biggest problems are caused by neglect of oral hygiene, improper brushing techniques and lack of regular dental check-ups. Many people are unaware of the fact that poor dental health affects the whole body and that most dental problems are caused by bacteria. In addition, fear of the dentist is another reason why most people avoid treatment. According to WHO, oral diseases are now among the most common non-communicable diseases, especially in developing countries. Prevention, including improved oral hygiene services and education, would be of major importance.
The range of oral hygiene products for home is constantly expanding thanks to advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. AI-based technology enables thorough cleaning of the oral cavity, removing bacteria and preventing oral diseases. The new devices use interactive displays, voice control and preset timers to help the user achieve optimal dental care, tailoring the cleaning programme to individual needs.
With more than 300 patents and numerous international awards, the Oclean brand is redefining oral hygiene.
„While developing our product portfolio, we focus in particular on how technology can improve oral health. Most people suffer from dental problems due to poor hygiene or improper cleaning. Because it is no longer enough to keep convincing users of the importance of thorough brushing, we have invested in technologies – including AI-based solutions – that use voice guidance to help the user throughout the cleaning process, as well as smart touchscreens that provide real-time feedback on oral cavity cleanliness. We hope that the benefits of this technology will encourage users to brush regularly, which in itself will lead to improvements in oral health,” explains Roger Yu, President of Oclean’s European region, adding that prevention, including regular oral hygiene and dental check-ups, is the most beneficial.
