A third of the festival-goers spend over HUF 10,000 per day on food
More than two-thirds of those attending the festival buy food worth more than HUF 5,000 on a daily basis, and 33 percent of those surveyed spend more than HUF 10,000 on a day’s food, according to Pek-Snack’s research conducted at this year’s Sziget Festival.
Almost every second person eats fast food or sandwiches at events of this type, and almost 30 percent opt for pastries, including pizza and bread. The most popular pastries of festival-goers are cheese sticks and cocoa snails.
More than half of the festival-goers buy themselves snacks at least three times a day or more, and typically vote for fast food such as gyros, burgers and hot dogs, according to Pek-Snack, Hungary and Central European from a survey carried out by the region’s leading visual bakery network at the Sziget Festival.
Nearly 30 percent of them spend on hot food, and almost every fifth person eats pizza and bread. For the majority of respondents (37 percent), eating at the festival costs between HUF 5,000 and HUF 10,000, and more than 30 percent of them spend more than HUF 10,000 on meals per day.
