The Hungarian Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSDH) with its “Future Leaders” talent program won first place in the “Encouraging sustainable transition” category in the national round of the European Enterprise Development Award (EEPA). The award ceremony took place on July 2nd at the Ministry of National Economy (NGM), where Irén Márta, director of the BCSDH, and Zita Szederkényi, head of the “Future Leaders” talent program, received the award from Márton Nagy, Minister of National Economy.
EEPA aims to recognize and showcase Europe’s best business development initiatives, highlighting best practices and the added value of entrepreneurship. The competition for the award takes place in six categories, among which the promotion of sustainable transition plays a particularly important role.
BCSDH’s “Future Leaders” talent program has been operating successfully since 2014, and its goal is that managers who graduate here are able to respond to sustainability challenges and integrate sustainability principles into corporate decision-making. In the past decade, 130 companies participated in the program, contributing to the dynamic exchange of knowledge. So far, we have worked with a total of 256 experts from various industry and scientific fields. In addition to the corporate sector, universities, researchers, social organizations and regulatory bodies participate as experts and speakers, increasing the impact and importance of the program. Participation in the program has become valuable for all parties. In the last ten years, 316 managers have graduated from the program, they are now actively managing the sustainability transition of their companies and are members of the program’s Alumni organization.
