Only one-third part of the adults are willing to protect the environment
Only one-third part of Hungarian adult population, are interested in the environment, as a subject. Similar proportions are those who say they are willing to do, to protect the environment – reports GfKHungária.
The GfK Hungária and TÁRKI Social Research Institute has examined the relationship of the public of environmental protection and eco-lifestyle. According to the survey, 45 percent of the population admitted to collect garbage selectively ever. The environment-related issues interests the adult population to varying degrees. While collecting garbage selectively conserns half of the consumers, climate change or social responsibility do not really effects people. The survey finds that "green thinking", and the protecting of the environment, is highly depends on the culture. According to the survey even out of ten are willing to use energy-saving bulbs, six out of ten are switching off electrical appliances when not in use, and a similar proportion are those who purchases new household appliances (washing machine, refrigerator) with less power usage. But only a little more than a quarter of people would give up their car.
