White fruits and vegetables reduce the risk of stroke
According to Dutch researchers; white-fleshed fruit and vegetable consumption may protect against stroke – reported BBC's website on Friday.
In the study, more than 20 thousand adults' health was tracked for ten years, however, the researchers do not know why the risk of stroke was 52 percent lower at those, who consumed apples, pears, bananas and ate cauliflower.
They found that the 25-gram increase of white fruit and vegetable consumption causes a 9 percent reduction in risk of the occurrence of stroke – reports MTI.
