After his crime thrillers dealing with the climate catastrophe, the autobiography of Dirk Rossmann, the founder of the Rossmann drugstore chain, has also been published in Hungarian, in which he tells about his life journey and the construction of the world-famous company. The volume entitled “…and then I climbed the tree!” tells us an exciting story full of self-reflection about perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit. The book is now available in all Rossmann stores, Online Drogeria, and in the Libri, Líra and Bookline offerings.

Dirk Rossmann, the founder and owner of the world-famous Rossmann drugstore chain, is finally revealing his extraordinary life journey to the Hungarian reading public with his autobiography. The book entitled “…and then I climbed the tree!” tells the life story of the founder and leader of the Rossmann chain, which has grown from a simple family business to a global company.

In addition to his experience in the tough business world, Dirk Rossmann is also known as a generous donor, who actively participates in international aid programs, and he also incorporates his philosophical and psychological interests into the book.

The Rossmann chain celebrated its 30th anniversary in Hungary last year and, with more than 250 stores, is a dominant player in the domestic drugstore market. The publication of the Hungarian edition of the book is the crowning achievement of this success story.

Dirk Rossmann’s story is more than an entrepreneurial success: through individual chapters of his life, we can gain an insight into the trials and lessons that shaped the life of an innovative, persistent man.

The title of the book also refers to a memorable event: Rossmann climbed an oak tree upon his enlistment in protest against the mandatory military service of the German Bundeswehr, and then stayed there for hours. He managed to get his discharge from the army through action, which was one of the first steps in his business success story.

“I had no money, no experience, and I was full of fears, but I didn’t want to back down,”

Dirk Rossmann told SpotOnNews when the book was published in Germany. “I have always fought in my life, I have never given up. I have always believed that this perseverance and courage are what really take you forward.”
