The tobacco industry representatives oppose the nationalization of tobacco wholesale
The tobacco industry representatives considered the latest government bill it unacceptable which would nationalized the wholesale trade of tobacco products without prior professional consultation – the Hungarian Association of Tobacco Industry Investors (DBMSZ) told MTI on Wednesday.
According to the views of the tobacco companies, the measure is unnecessary, costly, making retail supply difficult, violating the free competition as well as the rights contained in the Basic Law of the free e enterprise and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, as well as the European Union and national competition rules.
