The ULT Magyarország is investigating to move the tobacco processing from Hungary
The Universal Leaf Tobacco (ULT) Magyarország Zrt. is investigating the possibility that from this year will not process tobacco in the Nyíregyháza-based tobacco plant – the company owned by the American Universal Corporation told MTI on Thursday.
The company in its communiqué describes that the current situation of the European tobacco market forced the owner of the company to consider the relocation of the processing of Hungarian tobacco to another country. The concentration of processing operations is expected to improve the efficiency of the Group in the European region, and enhance the competitiveness of Hungarian tobacco in the international market.
