The referenda initiative aimed at restricting tobacco sales has been rejected
The National Election Committee (OVB) at its Wednesday meeting in Budapest rejected a referenda initiative aimed at restricting tobacco sales. According to the majority of the board members, the questions submitted in order to the protection of minors were not unequivocal.
The submitter wanted to achieve, that a referendum to obligate the National Assembly to adopt a law which provides that stores selling tobacco goods, cannot operate within a 600-meter radius of educational and health institutions, where the people are taught or cured are younger than 18. (MTI)
