DM further expanded its charity program called Together for Babies
This year, dm drugstore organized its Together for Babies program, in which 260 dm stores took on the symbolic role of godparents for 260 families with young children in difficult situations. As part of the program, 7,530 packages of babylove diapers were donated to Catholic Caritas, who will deliver them to the families. This year, the program was increased by more than 1,000 packages, which represents a support value of more than 27 million forints.
The drugstore started its Together for Babies program fifteen years ago, the goal of which is for 260 dm stores to take on the symbolic role of godparents for a family with young children in difficult situations, and to ease the financial burden of the families with enough diapers for several months. This is a significant saving for the families, which they can now use for something else, to improve their quality of life.
In selecting the families, their partner from the beginning has been Catholic Caritas, who are present in the everyday lives of the families concerned as a national network and can deliver the packages to them.
“This cooperation is also very important for us, as dm has been helping to provide diapers through us for 15 years and allows us to provide long-term support to the families. The program is not just about donations; we try to hold families by the hand and, together with our volunteers and Caritas employees, provide support throughout the country, even in crisis situations. This way, families can focus not on the difficulties, but on the joys of raising children.”
– said Richárd Zagyva, deputy head of Catholic Caritas, about the significance of the cooperation.
