dm organized its Charity Soccer Tournament for the 9th time
For the ninth time this year, dm’s employees and business partners kicked the ball in order to support a good cause with the all-day event. By participating in the tournament, the teams supported the Mother’s Protection Foundation with HUF 5 million. The aim of the assistance is to enable the parents living in the mother’s home to meet their children’s needs and to ensure the family’s self-sustenance, and the children to overcome their equal opportunity disadvantages.
The idea of the dm Charity Soccer Tournament was born in 2015. The event has grown into a tradition over the past decade, so this year on April 27, the whistle sounded for the ninth time, and employees of domestic retail companies competed against each other in a series of friendly games. The tournament is organized annually for the benefit of an NGO selected by dm staff. The main aspect of the selection is that the scope of the organization’s activities fits into the dm’s support strategy (health education and support for disadvantaged families and children). Each year a different organization receives the support.
