dm and its cooperating partners support the Démétér Foundation with HUF 5 million
This year, dm’s charity soccer tournament was held for the eighth time, which is organized every year for the drugstore’s business partners.
By participating in the tournament, the teams supported the Démétér Foundation with HUF 5 million, thanks to which they provided the missing amount for the foundation to buy a minibus. With the help of the bus, seriously ill children living in Déméter Ház can safely travel to external locations, where they can gain new social experiences, which is essential for their recovery.
The basic idea of the dm charity soccer tournament, which has become a tradition over the past nine years, is for the drugstore’s employees and cooperating partners to meet in a more informal way, and to do it all for a good cause. The tournament is organized annually for the benefit of an NGO selected by the dm staff. The main aspect of the selection is that the scope of the organization’s activities fits into the dm’s support strategy (health education and support for disadvantaged families and children). Every year a different organization receives the support.
