The passenger traffic of the low-cost airlines increased the most in Europe in the first quarter
The passenger traffic of the low-cost airlines increased the most in Europe in the first quarter, compared to the previous year’s figures – according to passenger data published by airlines.
The largest expansion was achieved by Wizz Air, which increased its number of passengers by 11 percent to 7.6 million in the January-March period, and the utilization of flights increased by 1 percentage point to 92.1 percent. Its main competitor, Ryanair, increased the number of its passengers by 10.3 percent to 30.8 million over the same period. (MTI)
