Deutsche Bank does not invest in food
Deutsche Bank stops the issuing of investment products, backed by important agricultural or food products.
The bank wrote in its report on responsible corporate behavior, that this year they will not issue into investment products, which are based on basic agricultural products and are traded on stock exchanges, or speculating on important food price changes.
The Bank with this step responded to the criticisms of consumer organizations, such as Food Watch who stated that speculation has greatly contributed to the significant increase of food prices.
