The Nébih examines tropical fruits
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) examines the quality of tropical fruits, mainly citruses (tangerine, orange, grapefruit), avocados and exotic fruits (mango, pineapple) – the authority told MTI on Monday.
According to the communication of the Nébih, an average of nearly 12 kilograms of tropical fruits are consumed in Hungary annually. The season of tropical fruits lasts from late September to mid-March. Because the quality of the initial phase of tropical fruits in season are not always satisfactory, Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture has ordered to examine the quality of these products. (MTI)
