Danubius was profitable in the second quarter
The Danubius Hotels Nyrt. had an after-tax profit of 2.24 billion HUF in the second quarter of this year, 55 percent more than in the same period of the last year. So the chain’s first half-year loss decreased to 592 million HUF after the first quarter’s 2.83 billion HUF after-tax loss.
According to the consolidated, IAS 34 based report the company's total revenues for the first half totaled at 22.74 billion HUF, 7.4 percent higher, compared to the first six months of last year. The increase was mainly due to the hotels in Hungary and in Slovakia.
The EBITDA increased by 678 million HUF (35 percent) to HUF 2.63 billion HUF, compared to the first half of last year.
During the first half-year, the operating profit of the group increased to 275 million HUF from the 343 million HUF loss of the first half of last year. (MTI)
