Alpro becomes key contributor to grow the plant-based category around the world Danone and Alpro join forces to further fuel plant-based business growth. Alpro will be a key contributor within the newly created Plant-Based Business Unit with the aim to expand and grow the plant-based category around the world. Together, Danone and WhiteWave/Alpro will drive the Alimentation Revolution.
Joining Danone provides Alpro with a unique opportunity to accelerate its growth mission as part of a large global company with greater scale in distribution and geographical footprint. Danone will contribute to the acceleration of plant-based growth making a trend mainstream. Alpro continues to be committed to what it is good at: plant-based food and drinks.
Alpro will become part of the newly created Plant-Based Business Unit and will be a key contributor within this dedicated Plant-Based Business Unit with the aim to expand and grow the plant-based category around the world. The Plant-Based Business Unit will be led by Bernard Deryckere, current CEO of Alpro.
