Danone continued its year-round donation even at Christmas
Danone Magyarország Kft. continued to help those in need in 2022, but during the winter months, around the holidays, it turned its attention to those in difficult situations in order to make this period as beautiful as possible for as many people as possible.
Danone is committed to maintaining economic, social and environmental values. In the spirit of the company’s creed of double commitment – according to which responsibility does not end at the factory gate or the office door – it affects everyone’s quality of life. The corporate sphere must look beyond economic goals to be active for our communities and our planet.
This responsible and sustainable business approach is also reflected in the company’s various support projects in Hungary – be it product donation, voluntary employee assistance, or support implemented jointly with partners. Therefore, the company also wanted to make life easier for the needy and families in difficult situations around the winter holidays.
Danone has been delivering product donations to those in need for many years with the active cooperation of its permanent partner, the Magyar Élélmiszerbank Egyesület (MÉB). Cooperation is preceded by a thorough needs assessment, and through continuous and close cooperation and coordination, people in difficult situations get what they really need when and where they really need it. In 2022, the company offered 15,000 trays of products to the United Hungarian Food Bank. The offer, worth nearly HUF 16 million, included Actimel, Alpro, Oikos and Danette products, among others.
