Weight changes cause problems to 90 percent of children with tumors
This year's “Let's Do Something Together for the Children” program has begun, The program helps the rehabilitation and healthy clinical diet of children with leukemia and cancer for 11 years now.
The Danone Kft. in the scope of its social support program in collaboration with the Hungarian Paediatric Oncology Network carried out a survey on the eating habits of children who are during the treatment or after it. According to the results of the survey, the significant weight changes during the treatments cause problems to 90 percent of the children so the “Let's Do Something Together for the Children” program this year focuses on healthy clinical nutrition, and also helps the children and their families in the post-treatment psychological rehabilitation. The program lasts this year for 5 weeks, from 1 October until 4 November.
