81 per cent of family business owners want to make generational changes by retaining ownership
81 per cent of family business owners want to make generational changes by retaining ownership – a joint survey of Moore Hungary and Opten. Only 14 percent of owners consider selling the company on the right terms to be the best option.
A significant part of hungarian family businesses were founded back in the 1990s, and they are very often headed by the founding owners, whose age is likely to exceed retirement age. According to market estimates, the implementation of generational change is still a current problem in almost half of family businesses, but in most cases the process is very difficult, if at all.
