Costa Coffee’s holiday message: a good Christmas is not just a perfect Christmas
Shopping, crowds and the pursuit of perfection – we Hungarians would let these things go from Christmas. This Christmas, Costa Coffee encourages us to do just that: don’t insist on perfection, accept the possibility of making mistakes, be creative and turn mistakes to our advantage. The brand conducted joint research with the market research company Opinio, which also reveals what we like most about Christmas.
As the end of the year approaches, Costa Coffee traditionally assesses what creates the Christmas mood for people. This year, they were also interested in how much the respondents spend on Christmas dinner, when they start buying gifts and what kind of gifts they are thinking about in 2023.
According to a survey by Costa Coffee and Opinio, almost half of those surveyed spend no more than HUF 20,000 on Christmas dinner, and 16 percent spend between HUF 20,000 and HUF 30,000 for this purpose. 6 percent of Hungarians spend between 30,000 and 50,000, and 4 percent are those who plan to spend more than HUF 50,000 on festive meals. A quarter of the respondents do not spend on this, as they either go to a party or do not pay for the Christmas dinner; the latter is more likely to occur among men than among women (18% vs 11%).
