COOP remains main sponsor of the Hungarian Olympic Team

The CO-OP Hungary Ltd. will assist the Hungarian Olympic Committee and the Hungarian Olympic movement again as a a gold grade facilitator in the next four years.

The support document was signed by dr. Schmitt Pál, Chairman of the MOB, Csepeli Lajos Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Retailers and by Murányi László Chief Executive Officer. Csepeli Lajos, said that Hungary's leading domestic-owned food chain of stores are putting a great emphasis on the Olympic Movement and promoting the idea of the Olympic Community. The company is the gold grade main sponsor of the Hungarian Olympic Team since 1996, as well as key sponsor of the national handball and water polo teams. Despite the economic crisis commitment for COOP to the sport and to the Hungarian Olympic Team is self-evident. Schmitt Pál said, that they are glad continuing to work together with COOP. Murányi László the company's chief executive officer presented the results of last year. COOP’s 2008 annual turnover excessed 500 billion forints, which is 14% increase compared to 2007.
