Coop protects closing on Sundays

Most of the 32,000 employees are women, who could be with their family on Sundays – said Laszlo Muranyi, CEO of Coop Hungary Zrt.

Coop is owned by 300,000 small shareholders, has 3,000 own
stores and another 2,000 work with it. The company has 15% market share, as
Tesco has, last years income was HUF 400 billion, this year HUF 450billion is
planed.
