The automotive sector of the Continental Group will continue its operations under the name Aumovio in the future
The Automotive sector of the Continental Group announced its future brand name at Auto Shanghai, now as an independent automotive company. The new name combines the company’s strong market position, tradition and technological expertise in the automotive industry with the ambition to shape the mobility of the future through innovation.
Aumovio will offer electronics products and advanced mobility solutions for software-defined vehicles and safe, inspiring, connected and autonomous transportation to a wide range of customers worldwide. Based on the Berylls market analysis, the automotive sector expects the value of solutions per vehicle in these segments to grow by an average of 4.7 percent per year until 2029 – more dynamically than the number of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles produced worldwide (based on the S&P Global Mobility market forecast). At this year’s Auto Shanghai, Automotive presented its “in the market for the market” approach and a number of innovative technologies for Chinese customers and the market. Following approval at Continental’s annual general meeting on April 25, 2025, the new brand name is planned to be listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in September 2025.
“As an independent company, we gain significantly more creative freedom and speed. Aumovio is built on three pillars: technologically leading products, a consistent value creation strategy, and a global network based on synergies, all with a strong local presence to serve our customers as best as possible. Our goal is to further strengthen our position in the mobility areas and growth markets of the future. This strategy is particularly evident in China, where we rely on a strong local presence, among other things, by producing and developing locally for the Chinese market,”
said Philipp von Hirschheydt, Member of the Board of Management of Continental and CEO of the Automotive Sector.
