Casino sells catering business to Compass
French supermarket retailer Casino announced that it had agreed to sell its contract catering business ‘R2C’ to Britain’s Compass. The deal, which one source said was worth EUR 25-30 million, was expected to be completed by the end of the first half of the year. With this step the Casino Group’s goal is to increase its profitability and strengthen its financial profile.
