The Report of Carlsberg caused a positive surprise
Danish Carlsberg’s second quarter net profit increased to 1.94 billion korunas (375 million euros) from the one year earlier 1.42 billion.The result significantly exceeded the 1.6 billion korunas expectations of analysts.
The turnover changed minimally compared to the results of the first quarter of the year. It was 17.6 billion korunas which was slightly lower than the 18 billion expectation.
The 29.4 billion koruna net revenue of the first half year was a 9 percent increase compared to the results of last year. The volume of beer sold, increased by 15 percent to 56.9 million hectoliters from the 49.6 million hectoliters of a year earlier, while own-branded sales decreased by 5 percent – reports Napi Gazdaság after Bloomberg.
