Carlsberg’s half-yearly revenue increased by 2.6 percent
The revenue and operating profit of the Danish brewery Carlsberg increased year-on-year in the first half of this year.
According to data posted on the company’s website on Wednesday, revenue increased by 2.6 percent to 38.766 billion crowns (2043.7 billion forints). Revenue per hectoliter increased by 2 percent.
The organic revenue growth (cleaned from the effects of corporate acquisitions) was 3.9 percent, including 1.3 percent in Western Europe, 4.7 percent in Asia, and 8.8 percent in Central and Eastern Europe and India (CEEI).
Overall, the volume of beer sales increased by 1.4 percent: in Western Europe it decreased by 1.7 percent, but at the same time it increased by 1.9 percent in Asia and by 4.5 percent in Central Eastern Europe and India (CEEI).
Sales of Tuborg beer increased by 8 percent, Carlsberg by 12 percent, 1664 Blanc by 4 percent, and Brooklyn by 4 percent.
