CAFE FREI developed ALDI’s new own-brand coffees
ALDI Hungary further expanded its cooperation and product development with CAFE FREI. The result: two own-brand coffees, the flavors of which are inspired by the supermarket chain’s iconic products. BARISSIMO BY CAFE FREI coffees will be available exclusively in ALDI stores. The “Nussknacker” ground coffee mix is a real aroma bomb that reflects the taste of the popular ALDIs chocolate, and the “Germknödel” flavor variant is also inspired by the successful plum steamed dumplings found in the supermarket chain’s frozen range.
ALDI Hungary and CAFE FREI have started joint product development. Several of the coffee company’s products were already available in all domestic stores of the supermarket chain, but now the two companies have developed completely new flavored coffees. ALDI distributes its own brand coffees globally under the BARISSIMO name, this coffee family has been supplemented with the BARISSIMO by CAFE FREI product line. The flavors of the new coffees were inspired by two ALDI products. One is Nussknacker hazelnut chocolate, and the other is Bella steamed buns filled with plum jam.
