Cadbury sells 7Up
Cadbury Schweppes said it would probably sell its Dr Pepper and 7Up soda brands in order to expand the company. The company would force the layoff of up to 7,500 employees.
Cadbury Schweppes is preparing to announce that
is will sell its U.S. beverage business, which includes 7UP, Dr Pepper and
Snapple, according to people close to the company. Cadbury said in March that
it would split its confectionary and soft drink businesses, but had not
determined whether it would sell the beverage business or spin it off.
