Ten percent of the wheat was already harvested in Vas county

On the 40 thousand hectare wheat field, 10 percent of the crop was already harvested in Vas county. Experience has shown that there will be no problems with the amount – Lukács Zoltán, Agriculture inspector of the Vas County Government Office informed MTI on Tuesday.

The farmers of Vas county expect higher yields from winter barley and rape contrary to the previous expectations. The average yield of winter barley was 3.9 tons per hectare. The rapeseed fields produced an average yield of 2.3 tons per hectare. 35-40 percent of the rape is already harvested. (MTI)
