Half of the wheat is harvested, yield is 25-30 percent more than in the last year
The crop has been harvested from half of the wheat-growing area. The yield per hectare is around 4.6 tons so far, it is more than 25-30 percent more than the average yield of last year – the National Association of Agricultural Economics (NAK) announced on Friday.
The purchase prices are changing almost daily, so the NAK advises farmers to store the crop, due to the typical low prices of the harvest season.
The NAK also raises awareness of road users that in the harvest period agricultural machines will often appear on the roads. The chamber asks increased caution and patience from drivers. (MTI)
