This year brought 15 percent higher wheat price
In August 2018 agricultural production prices were 6 percent higher in comparison with the level of August 2017 – reported the Central Statistical Office (KSH). This situation was the result of vegetable product prices growing by 11 percent and livestock/products of animal origin prices decreasing by 2.1 percent from the base period level. The price of cereal crops grew by 14 percent – wheat cost 15 percent more and corn became 13 percent more expensive. The price of livestock dropped 3.6 percent.
