Burberry’s quarterly revenue fell 5.5 percent
The British Burberry Group, one of the world’s leading luxury clothing and accessories companies, reported a 5.5 percent decline in revenue in the first quarter of the fiscal year ended June.
Revenue fell to 433 million pounds ($581.6 million) from 458 million pounds a year earlier, the company said on its website.
Comparable revenue fell 1 percent, less than the average analyst estimate of a 3 percent decline. The company’s quarterly revenue fell 5 percent in China and 4 percent in the Asia-Pacific region (excluding China) compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the Americas grew 4 percent and the EMEIA region (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) grew 1 percent.
Burberry closed its 2025 fiscal year ended March with a loss after tax of 3 million pounds, and its revenue fell 17 percent.
