Weak performance for Budapest hotels in the region
According to CB Richard Ellis’ (CBRE), most recent analysis on the hotel market of Central and Eastern Europe; The occupancy of Budapest hotels decrased with 17.5 percent to 55.7 percent in the summer of 2008, compared to 2009.
Both indexes are significantly lower, than in the previous years. The average daily room price is 75.76 euros in Budapest, which is 1.8 percent lower than the price of a year earlier.
The occupancy tendency of Budapest Hotels followed the tendecies of Prague and Vienna’s performances in the first seven months of 2009, but while in the June-July period, Prague and Vienna both increased, Budpaest decreased – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
