The Travel and Leisure magazine measured the hotels by quality of services and foods, the location and the equipment.

 Asian hotels have consistently received high marks, but this year, for the first time, an Indian property—Oberoi Udaivilas—has grabbed the No. 1 spot, but there are several hotels from Asia and Africa on the list.The Hungarian Four Season Budapest is the only from the region in the best 25, to pass the Four Seasons hotels in Paris, Cairo, Amman, or Prague. In the best 50 hotels, there are 12 Four Seasons, the better is on 4th place, it's the Four Season Hotel Istanbul.
