The Budapest Bank installs contactless technology to all of its bank cards
One in five people has a PayPass card in his pocket. Even who do not have, would try the payment without PIN code and card payments without signature – Budapest Bank’s survey shows. The experiences of thePayPass card owners favor the widespread of contactless payment devices, because their users are consider it the fastest paying method.
According to the survey, the PayPass technology is well-known in Hungary: 80 percent of the respondents have heard about this payment method, and 30 percent of them have precise knowledge about the functioning of such cards. For example, 70 percent of the respondents know that a PayPass is a debit card-based payment solution, and 55 percent knows that the PIN code is not necesarry to be entered under a 5 thousand HUF purchase.
