Britons shopping, Spaniards saving
According to an Eurostat estimate, the volume of retail trade was up by 2 per cent on average in the 27 EU member states in May, compared to 2007. Retail trade has expanded at the fastest rate in the UK and Lithuania, while the biggest drop was recorded in Spain.
