Changing British pub habits
According to a survey; British pubs sell more food than drink. The country is known for its beer enthusiasts, the drastic decrease in the sale of alcohol is clearly due to the fact that spirits can be purchased cheaply in the supermarkets, as well as the prohibition of smoking in pubs.
The statistics of the past year show, that 7000 pubs should close its gates, due to the changing needs of consumers. The competition encourages the remaining almost 50 thousand pubs owner to develop the culinary quality of services more. One in three pubs already offer extra meals, that people cannot prepare at home easily- reports penzcentrum.hu.
